Sustainability Management Research Workshop: Enhancing Sustainability Management Research in Egypt

About the program

The Sustainability Management Research Hub (SMRH) is pleased to invite early-career researchers and post-graduate students from Egypt to apply for the “Sustainability Management Research Workshop: Enhancing Sustainability Management Research in Egypt”, focusing on sustainability challenges in Egypt and beyond. This comprehensive workshop series will equip participants with cutting-edge skills in academic writing, research methodologies, and sustainability management practices tailored to the unique environmental, social, and economic issues of Egypt.

Participants will engage in a blend of in-person and online sessions, personalized mentoring, and collaborative learning, gaining expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The workshops will culminate in the development of manuscripts ready for publication in international peer-reviewed journals, along with the opportunity to build a network with global sustainability experts.

This workshop program is generously funded by the British Academy under the International Writing Workshops scheme. The program represents a collaborative effort between Roehampton University (UK), The Egyptian E-learning University, and Coventry University branch in Egypt.

Program and Schedule

  • Module 1 (December 2024-February 2025): Social Research & Academic Writing
  • Module 2 (March-June 2025): Qualitative Research
  • Module 3 (July-October 2025): Quantitative Research
  • Module 4 (November 2025-February 2026): Social Research on Sustainability Management
  • Conference (April 2026)

Eligibility

To be eligible for the workshop program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Early-career researchers (within five years of their Ph.D.), Ph.D. and master’s students
  • A draft research proposal (approx.1500 words) in English with a clear focus on sustainability management or social science research topics related to sustainability
  • High-level of proficiency (speaking and writing) in English
  • The candidate must be committed to completing all activities for the duration of the program
