The Sustainability Management Research Hub (SMRH) is an initiative dedicated to advancing sustainability research across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. By fostering collaboration between regional and international researchers, the Hub addresses critical environmental, social, and economic challenges unique to the MENA region, such as water scarcity, energy transitions, and sustainable urbanization.
Through workshops, mentorship programs, and research collaborations, SMRH empowers early-career researchers with the skills and networks necessary to produce high-quality, impactful research. The Hub also facilitates knowledge-sharing and policy development aimed at supporting the region’s transition towards sustainable development in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
